Day In Richmond
During the annual General Assembly Session, Virginia21 seeks to provide its members with direct hands on experience in the legislative process. The Student Leadership Committee invites their peers from their respective colleges to visit individually with elected officials, attend committee hearings, and to watch the proceedings of the full General Assembly Session. Before the students attend the meetings, they are provided with extensive training about what to expect, how to represent themselves, and how to communicate effectively.
