Summer Legislative Training
During the summer months, Virginia hosts a retreat with incoming chapter leaders to discuss the opportunities throughout the year. We provide them with an overview of current policy discourse including higher education, economic development, and good government. We invite business and policy leaders, including elected officials, government affairs professionals, communications specialists, and industry leaders, to educate young people about the legislative process and the importance of being civically engaged.
The retreat also provides the first opportunity of the year for our leaders to coalesce as one group as they seek to act as a team that engages thousands of others on each of their respective campuses.
